Biography

Alicia lives in Alta Loma with her mother, father and two sisters. Their house is rented and is made of cement blocks and wood with a sheet metal roof. The family has no possessions apart from two beds which they all share. The family often cannot afford firewood and so they burn their old clothes to cook their food. Alicia’s father sells ice cream in the streets of Antigua and earns Q1200 ($160) a month. This year, Alicia is in 1st grade.
Alicia’s favorite color is white and her favorite food is fruit. Her favorite animals are birds. In her free time she likes to play with her dolls.
When she is older, Alicia would like to be a university graduate. Her favorite subject in school is science and her goal for this year is to learn to ride a bike.
If she could have any superpower, Alicia would have super intelligence. If she had $1 million, Alicia would use it to help people in need.
