Biography

Emilio lives in San Mateo Milpas Altas with his mother, father and younger brother. Their house is made of cement blocks and sheet metal. Emilio’s father is a builder who works short contracts and is yet to find fixed work. Emilio’s younger brother Melvin was diagnosed with cancer aged 2 and recovered thanks to the Project. Emilio will be in first grade in 2024. Emilio’s favourite colour is blue and his favourite foods are vegetables. In his free time he likes to with his toys and listen to marimba music. When he is older, Emilio would like to be a doctor. His favourite class in school is maths and his goal for this year is to learn to read and write. If he could have any superpower, Emilio would have the power to read minds. If he had $1 million, Emilio would buy new shoes, a computer, a telephone and a TV.
