Biography

Jimena lives in Alta Loma with her mother, father and two sisters. Their house is rented and is made of cement blocks and wood with a sheet metal roof. The family has no possessions apart from two beds which they all share. The family often cannot afford firewood and so they burn their old clothes to cook their food. Jimena’s father sells ice cream in the streets of Antigua and earns Q1200 ($160) a month. This year, Jimena is in preschool.
Jimena’s favorite color is red and her favorite food is rice. Her favorite animals are dogs and cats. In her free time she likes to play with her toys and help her mother with chores.
When she is older, Jimena would like to be a doctor. Her favorite subject in school is art and her goal for this year is to run faster.
If she could have any superpower, Jimena would have super intelligence. If she had $1 million, Jimena would use it to help people in need.
