Biography

Katerin lives in San Luis Pueblo Nuevo with her mother and sister. Their house is rented, and is a single room made of cement blocks with a sheet metal roof. Katerin’s mother is a day-laborer, selling tortillas and washing clothes. She earns around Q600 ($80) a month. This year, Katerin is in first grade. Katerin’s favorite color is blue and her favorite food is beans. In her free time she likes to play with teddy bears and listen to hymns. When she is older, Katerin would like to be a doctor. Her favorite thing to do in school is homework and her goal for next year is to learn to read. If she could have any superpower, Katerin would have super strength. If she had $1 million, Katerin would buy clothes and a house for her mother.
