Biography

Merlyn lives in San Lorenzo El Tejar with her mother, father, brother and sister. Their house is made of sheet metal with a sheet metal roof. It is precariously placed on the side of a hill and was built by another Project. The family has no possessions apart from a bed. They are also currently being loaned two sofas. Merlyn’s father works in the fields and her mother sells tortillas. They earn around Q900 ($120) a month between them. This year, Merlyn is in 4th grade.
Merlyn’s favorite color is pink and her favorite food is stew. Her favorite animals are rabbits. In her free time she likes to play hide and seek with her siblings.
When she is older, Merlyn would like to be a firefighter. Her favorite subject in school is social sciences and her goal for this year is to get better grades.
If she could have any superpower, Merlyn would have super intelligence. If she had $1 million, Merlyn would buy a house for each of her family members.
